Recyclemania 2014 Is Here! Live Sustainably. Choose To Recycle.
SBU will be defending its 2013 title as the top campus recycler of e-waste in North America in this year's annual Recyclemania Tournament. Recyclemania's 14th annual tournament in its history began its eight-week tournament on February 2 and will last until March 29.
To raise the bar, the Department of Recycling has placed e-waste and toner recycling receptacles in lobby spaces. For larger e-waste items such as computers, the community is encouraged to contact Recycling at 631-632-4640.
SBU Recycling is also offering confidential document shredding and recycling receptacle drop off and pickup to help campus offices with spring cleaning. Individuals and departments interested in services may contact the Department of Recycling through the Fix It website, call the Recyclemania hotline at 631-632-4640, or via e-mail at recycling@stonybrook.edu. The University may track recycling results by visiting www.stonybrook.edu/recyclemania.
